2012 emerging artist nominee set to play Sunset Theatre

Adrian Glynn will once again take centre stage at Sunset Theatre Aug. 22

Last summer, acclaimed modern roots music act, The Fugitives, sold out their one night only performance at The Sunset Theatre in Wells.

On Aug. 22 at 8 p.m., one of The Fugitives most beloved members, Adrian Glynn, will once again take centre stage at The Sunset for an evening of his acclaimed solo work.

Adrian Glynn is an accomplished singer/songwriter, musician, actor and burgeoning travel writer. He recently released his first full-length record, Bruise, to much national acclaim.

“On Bruise, Glynn shows his incredible lyrical skills, wedged somewhere between the storytelling whimsy of Iron and Wine’s Sam Beam and the honesty of Josh Ritter” (Vancouver Sun).

Bruise also netted Glynn a nomination for Emerging Artist of the Year at the 2012 Canadian Independent Music Awards, and in 2009, he was a finalist in a province-wide music competition, the Peak Performance Project, after completing his first (self-titled) recording with producer Dave Genn of 54-40.

With reviews like, “Funny, charming and shockingly brilliant, the lyrics are poems and the performance astonishing.” - (Word! Festival, Leicester, UK)- you won’t want to miss this fabulous evening of musical delight. Adrian Glynn is a charming and charismatic artist whose stage presence ignites his audiences and lights up the stage all on its own.
