The Cariboo Regional District (CRD) wants to amend its Rezoning and Rural Land Use Bylaws No. 3500 to 3505 throughout the entire regional district by adopting amending Bylaws No. 4988 to 4993.

These text amendments propose new definitions, and changes to regulations to introduce secondary suites and detached accessory dwellings as permitted residential land uses.

The North Cariboo – Electoral Areas A, B, C and I – meeting will be held at the Quesnel & District Seniors’ Centre at 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 17.

Public hearings are for people who believe their interest in property is affected by the proposed bylaws.

The public hearings are to be held by a delegate of the CRD board of directors. A copy of the CRD resolution is available for public inspection.

Written submissions regarding the proposed bylaws will be received. These submissions may be submitted at the public hearing, by completing our online survey: www.surveymonkey.com/r/secondarysuites, by e-mail to planning@cariboord.ca or to the CRD office listed below 48 hours prior to the public hearing.

No further information or representations can be considered by the CRD board after the public hearing. All verbal and written submissions will become the public record and will be published on an open agenda.
