According to today’s (Jan. 22) 5:19 a.m. update on Drive BC, Highway 97 has some slippery sections from Loon Lake through to 30 kilometres north of Quesnel.

From there, there are strong cross winds, compact snow and slushy sections to 26 km north of Hixon.

Motorists heading south need to watch for falling rocks from Spences Bridge to Jackass Mountain Summitt.

So motorists need to travel to road conditions and drive cautiously.

Closer to home, road were a bit slippery around 6 a.m. and temperatures could dip a bit for the ride home.

Please watch your step when you’re out walking.
