Quesnel and area road and weather conditions

Roads have compact snow and slippery sections while weather remains mild

Quesnel and area drivers who are heading north and south will have to contend with compact snow and slippery sections.

According to Drive BC’s 5 a.m. update today (Jan. 29), it is snowing with slippery sections from Stoner to Prince George.

Motorist heading south from Quesnel will have to deal with limited visibility from 93 Mile to Loon Lake Road.

There are no notifications reported for Cache Creek east to Kamloops, or Cache Creek south.

According to Environment Canada’s 5 a.m. update, today (Jan. 29) will be mainly cloudy with a 30 per cent chance of wet flurries or rain showers this afternoon. Wind becoming south at 20 km/h this morning with a high of plus 2C.

Tonight will be partly cloudy. Wind becoming south at 20 km/h to light early this evening. Low minus 4C.
