Roads in Quesnel and area will be a bit slippery until moisture dries

Temperatures will be very mild with a slight chance of snow flurries

Road conditions will be a bit tricky for Quesnel and area until the roads dry up later today.

According to Drive BC, Highway 97 will have slippery road conditions both north and south of Quesnel .

Yesterday, the roads were wet from Quesnel to 100 Mile House, with some compact snow farther south.

Roads appear to be good from Cache Creek to Kamloops today.

Those travelling through the Fraser Canyon will have to watch for compact snow and slippery sections from Cache Creek to Spences Bridge, followed by slippery sections and rocks on the highway to Jackass Mountain Summit.

There will be slushy sections from Jackass Mountain to Yale.

There will be single-lane traffic for ditching between Alexandra Tunnel to Yale today, with 10-minute delays.

Environment Canada is predicting it will be mainly sunny today with increasing cloudiness this afternoon and then a 30 per cent chance of flurries late this afternoon. Wind becoming south at 20 km/h late this afternoon with a high of 3 C.

There will be a few flurries ending late this evening, then cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of flurries (about 2 cm). Wind south at 20 km/h becoming light before morning. Low -4 C.
