Albert passed away peacefully after a short illness, with family by his side.

Born in Islay, AB to Edward & Ida Stone, Albert was predeceased by daughter Vera (age 16) and wife Mary (Bueckert) who had been married to him for 61 years.

He was a father of 5, grandfather of 10 and great grandfather of 16.

Albert loved the beauty of the outdoors and worked as a logger for most of his life. He competed and won the Quesnel Loggers Sports Day Grand Aggregate trophy from

J. Ernst Lumber Company in 1969 & 1970. Albert never missed a chance to drive to Yanks Peak and Barkerville area and made numerous boat trips up the Fraser and Quesnel Rivers. He and his young family enjoyed many evenings and weekends waterskiing followed by weiner roasts at all the local lakes. Dad loved to travel with Mom all over western Canada visiting family and friends taking photographs wherever he went. He loved his family embracing his grandchildren and great grandchildren, taking every opportunity to attend any and all family gatherings. Albert was energetic about teaching his grandkids how to ride a bike, how to drive a standard and the importance of saying yes with patience and kindness in your heart. He worked on many building projects, repaired many engines and helped with odd jobs to help out his families and friends.

He also visited and helped numerous elderly friends and neighbours who suffered with disabilities. He touched the lives of so many and will be missed.
