Amelia Ross, 73, of Quesnel, BC, passed away suddenly on Jan 29, 2017. She was born in McBride, BC, to the late Frank and Isabel Savoyard on July 12, 1943 and was the eldest of 2 daughters.

She married James Ross in 1962 and had 5 children.

After secondary school she got her hairdressing license in the Vancouver area, and went to LA for advanced training. Her Father bought her a beauty shop, which her sister Frances had later taken over, when Amy became pregnant with her 2nd child. Amy worked for Dunkley Lumber from 1978 and retired in 2008, having worked in various positions including machinery maintenance. Apart from her expertise at Dunkley’s, she had many talents and hobbies. She was an artist by nature. Her talents ranged from hair stylist, clothing design and sewing, jewelry design; to knitting, crocheting and arts and crafts. Her designs and creations were exquisite. She was a perfectionist and put 100% into everything she did. She was an animal lover. She was an amazing, incredibly strong and resilient woman; and a beautiful, kind and humble soul. She loved God. She will be incredibly, deeply missed by her family and friends. Amy is survived by her Children: Kerry, Corinne (Les), Janet (Louis), Rob (Maria); her Grandchildren Rebekah and Zachary; her Sister Frances Ilett (Bill) and her Niece and Nephew Kevin and Karen. Amy was predeceased by her daughter Debbie on Aug 25, 1985 and her spouse Fred Blake on June 19, 2015. A Service will be held on Sat, Feb 11, 2017, at 1:00pm at: Northstar Church, 301 North Star Rd, Quesnel, BC. Instead of flowers, please give donations to:
