Dianne Benner

Dianne Benner passed away suddenly September 18, 2017 in Kelowna, B.C. She was 72.

Dianne was born in Vancouver, B.C. and was the youngest of three girls. Dianne spent time in Vancouver, Toronto, and Terrace as a young woman.

It was in Terrace, B.C. where she met Dan, the love of her life. She married Dan Benner in 1964 and had remained happily married for the passed 53 years. Dianne and Dan started their married life in Terrace and had two children there.

They moved to Quesnel to raise their children and that is where Dianne started to develope her career.

Dianne spent her career teaching first aid in Quesnel and throughout the Cariboo. First aid was a passion for Dianne and you could see her passion in her classes. She loved to teach, and she loved her students. Dianne's passion for first aid has had a positive influence on many, many lives in Quesnel.

After retirement, Dianne and Dan moved to Kelowna and they loved to travel with the snowbirds to the southern USA. Dianne loved life and would enjoy socializing with her friends, arts and crafts, and bingo games during these times.

Dianne had many roles in the family. She was a wife (Dan), mother (Dan and Debbie), mother-in-law (Jim), grandmother (Tess, Dallas, Brendan), a step grandmother (Michelle, Chad, Jillese), and a great grandmother (Logan and Kailey), sister (Sally and Pat), sister-in-law (Gerrit, Linda), aunt (Kevin, Mark, Gerrit, Nora-Lee, Karen and Danielle).

Dianne was loved by all and will be missed terribly. She is survived by her family.
