Donna Maria Johnson of Quesnel, B.C. passed away on January 19, 2009 at Dunrovin Lodge.

A service was held for Donna on January 22 at Clayton’s Funeral Chapel with Reverend Teri Meyer officiating. Interred at Quesnel Cemetery. Pallbearers were Steven Johnson, Brian Morgenstern, Ken Lewington, Dave Robson, Darcy Tollefson and John Rainey.

Sarah Cooley gave a beautiful eulogy with heartfelt memories. Donna’s son, Steven Johnson, talked about her life journey, kindness and strength of character. Donna was born in Vancouver, B.C. on November 12, 1933. She grew up in Burnaby and went on to get her certificate in Business Administration.

Donna married Merle Johnson whom she met in 1959 in Vancouver. They moved from Vancouver to Quesnel in 1973. She was a piano teacher and secretary.

Donna is survived by her son Steven Johnson, daughters Carrie Johnson, Maria Johnson and grandson Brian Morgenstern.

She was predeceased by her husband Merle Johnson.
