It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother Janice Miller. Mom’s journey on Earth ended peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer, in Seton General Hospital in Jasper, AB.

‘Jan’ is survived by her daughter Kelly (Charlie) Blackstock of Jasper, AB., sons Dean (Angela) Miller and David (Christine) Miller of Quesnel, B.C., as well as her sisters, Margaret Larsen of The Dalles, Or. and Cathy (Bruce) Fosbery of Westbank, B.C., and her brother John (Denise) Trueman of Quesnel, B.C. She also leaves behind several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was born Janice Isabel Trueman on December 9, 1936 to Edna (McNutt) and Harold Trueman in Quesnel, B.C., a place she always called ‘Home’. She lived in several places in B.C., making many friends along the way, but settled in Jasper in the millennium year 2000 to be near her daughter. Jan always had a twinkle in her eyes and enjoyed life with a great sense of humor. She loved animals, gardening and sharing stories and jokes with her many friends. Her homemade bread was enjoyed and appreciated by many, as was her kindness and generosity. She will be sadly missed and always loved.

A Memorial Tea will be held on October 6th at 1 pm at

Dave & Chris Millers’ home, 2251 Teofil Road, Quesnel, B.C.

All family and friends are welcome to attend.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Quesnel SPCA, or the Local Cancer Support Group.
