On February 19, 2009,

Jennah’s feisty, beautiful spirit left her tired body at G.R. Baker Memorial Hospital. She was surrounded by her family and friends. A celebration of 19 years of her wonderful life was held at the North Star Church on February 24, 2009.

Friends, Denny and Adam played their fiddles, Jennah’s special things (even her flashlights), endless pictures, gorgeous flowers, her pink grad gown and hundreds of balloons filled the church.

Friends and family travelled from Calgary, Fort McMurray, Kitimat, Terrace, Victoria, Vancouver and Vernon to be with Jennah.

Pastor Stew Motteram shared funny stories and his love for Jennah. Poems, music and stories were shared by many friends. Pastor Norm Botterill delivered the sermon before family and friends released balloons for Jennah.

Our heartfelt thanks are extended to Dr. Fine, Dr. Dercksen, Dr. Evans and countless nurses and staff of G.R. Baker Hospital for caring for her throughout her life’s journey. Love and appreciation goes out to her family, friends, caregivers, support workers, teachers and staff for their never ending devotion to her life and happiness. To everyone who sent flowers, cards and gifts, prepared food and helped at the Celebration, thank you all. Anyone wishing to make a donation in Jennah’s memory can do so to the Quesnel and District Palliative Care Association, Box 4537, Quesnel, B.C., V2J 3J8.
