It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Josephine (Guissepa) Missana on February 18, 2017.

A Celebration of Life was held on Friday, February 24, 2017 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church.

Josephine was born in Bivongi, Reggio Calabria, Italy on January 8, 1936 and was one of four children born to Guiesspe and Teresina Melia. She moved to Niagara Falls, Ontario in 1965 to be with her sister, Nazarena. In 1968, Josephine met and later married Italo, and moved to British Columbia. Within a few years, Italo and Josephine settled in Bouchie Lake with their two children, Gino and Anita.

Josephine worked as a seamstress for many years and was well known in the community for her bright and cheerful personality. She was an avid gardener, loved to cook and enjoyed time with friends and family.

Josephine is survived by her husband, Italo, and children, Gino and Anita, as well as her sister, Caterina, and brother, Antonio, in Italy. She will be missed and always remembered fondly but is now in the loving embrace of Jesus Christ, the Saviour.

Donations in Josephine’s memory may be made to the Alzhiemer’s Society of B.C.

Clayton’s Funeral Directors entrusted with arrangements.
