It is with deep sadness, that the family of Kelly Bennison, announce her passing at the Moog and Friends Hospice in Penticton, BC, at 51 years, surrounded by her loving family and friends, after a long and courageous 16 year battle with breast cancer.
Kelly is survived by her daughters Rhiannon (Shawn), Melissa (Mike), and Kaitlin (Shane); mother Marilyn Bennison; siblings Mitchell (Kim) and Lynn (Glen); stepson Ryan (Marianne) and granddaughters Zoe, Maria and Amelia. She was predeceased by her father Gerry Bennison.
Kelly lived a full life, with the compassion and love she showed for others showing through in all she did. She throughly enjoyed expressing herself through her musical abilities, including the playing of the harp. The family wishes to thank the oncology staff at P.G. Regional Hospital and Penticton Regional Hospital, the staff at Moog and Friends Hospice and Dr. Mac for all their care, compassion and support during Kelly’s illnesses.
A memorial service was held under the auspices of Jehovah Witnesses, Jan. 2, 2010 in Penticton, B.C. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Arts and Recreation Centre, 500 North Star Road, Quesnel, B.C., January 30, 2010 at 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Kelly’s name to the charity of your choice.
