PAYNTON, Lester Leonard passed away, with his family by his side, in Shuswap Lake General Hospital, Salmon Arm, BC, on January 18, 2012 at the age of 88 years.

Lester was born at Barrhead, Alberta on June 3, 1923. He moved to Salmon Arm and worked in the logging industry in the 1950’s and 60’s. In 1969 he moved to Quesnel and worked as a heavy equipment operator building forestry roads until 1994 when he retired. In 2009 he moved back to Salmon Arm.

Lester’s love for people, talking to others about the Bible, God’s Kingdom and the blessings Jehovah God will bring to mankind through his son Christ Jesus kept him busy.

Lester will be lovingly remembered and missed by his wife, Ethel their family and many friends.

In memory of Lester please open your bible and gain some comfort from reading Revelation chapter 21, verses 3 & 4.

A memorial service will be held from the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 721 2nd Street SE, Salmon Arm, on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 1:00 pm.
