Lillian Tearall was born on April 9, 1912 in Toronto, Ontario to Maud and Walter Plimmer. Lillian passed away on January 10, 2009 at Dunrovin Park Lodge in Quesnel, BC at the age of 96.


Lillian was an only child. Growing up she lived in Toronto, Winnipeg, Vancouver, Kamloops, Ashcroft and Trail. Lillian worked at Tranquille and the Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops. She also worked at the cannery in Ashcroft and Kamloops.


When Lillian was about 20 years old they moved back to Kamloops where she met her future husband, Charles Tearall. Lillian and Charles were married in 1934 and had three daughters, Lou, Doreen and Margaret. She had lived in Quesnel for over 40 years.


Lillian was pre-deceased by her husband Charles, mother Maud, father Walter, daughter Margaret Crick, grandson Carl Tearall-Phillips, sons-in-law Ralph Crick and Bill Ripley, granddaughter-in-law Paula Phillips. She is survived by her daughters Doreen Crick and Lou Ripley, grandchildren Elaine (Wayne) Thorp, Doug Crick, Calvin (Carrie Ann) Crick, Mark (Lucie) Crick, Bruce (Sherrie) Crick, Marvin (Angela) Phillips, Kerry (Sue) Phillips, Sharilee (Bojan) Golob, Mickey (Peggy) Phillips, Melody Harrington (Kyle Watson) and many great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.


Thank you to Clayton’s Funeral Directors for all the service arrangements, also to Reverend Teri Meyers of St. Andrews United Church for officiating. Also thank you to the staff at Dunrovin Park Lodge for their care and kindness to Lillian for the time she was in their care. Interment followed at the Quesnel and District Municipal Cemetery. A memorial tea was held at the Golden Center.
