Long-term Quesnel Resident Linda North slipped away quietly in her home, surrounded by love, on December 13, 2016.

Linda was born in Vanderhoof on June 6, 1946 to William Robert “Slim” Evans and Lillian Lena Evans. On May 14, 1966 she married her husband Roger North before the couple moved to Quesnel. They had three children.

Linda lived a fulfilled life doing what she loved. Her joy of cooking, creating, nature, and her entrepreneurial spirit shaped the world around her and those close to her. Her passion for gardening grew into her beloved Linda’s Perennials. She was an active member of the Barlow Creek community, Senior’s Day in the Park, and various other groups with Quesnel.

She is survived by her husband Roger, their three children Shawn (Margaret), Trent (Shelley), Tanya (Glenn); five grandchildren; one great grand child; sister Lois; brother Clifford, and her nieces and nephews.

At Linda’s request there will be no Service.

An In Memorium tea will be held in Linda’s Garden in the summer when the flowers are blooming and the sun is shining - date to be determined.

Linda’s final resting place will be alongside her parents in Vanderhoof, with a small family gathering to take place.
