It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Richard Wayne Sales at the young age of 60. He will be greatly missed by his wife Debbie and five of his wonderful kids, Kevin, Andy, Tommy, Jesse, and Natalie. As well his most cherished granddaughter Madison.

Richard (Rick) was born in Quesnel British Columbia to Don and Eula Sales living on the farm where he resided until his final days. In 1974 he met the love of his life Debbie and soon later got married in August of 1976. In their 40 years of marriage they brought 5 kids into the world telling Debbie “our icing is on the cake now” when their baby girl was born. In the early years, numerous days were spent at the racetrack earning many trophies and making great memories. As time progressed, Rick enjoyed spending time at the lake with his family.

Rick will always be remembered for his witty sense of humour and his ability to connect and start a conversation with anybody regardless of how well he knew them. He was able to make many good friends this way and each relationship he cherished and enjoyed. He will also be remembered for always looking out for his family and being there for them whenever they needed him.

His family is grateful for the years spent with their dad, his last moments were spent surrounded by his family at which he referred to as “this is the best day of my life“. The family would like to give a heartfelt thanks to the ICU team at the University Hospital of Northern BC. Especially the nurses and physicians that were able to connect and see the great man Rick was and the joy he had for life and people right up to his final days.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to prostate cancer research. Celebration of life to be announced at a later date.

Keep on Truckin RW.
