Walter “Blake” Hough, age 78, passed away February 22, 2017 at Quesnel, B.C. He was predeceased by his loving wife Beatrice “Elsie” Fairholm suddenly on January 9, 2017. They shared 20 years of blissful marriage together.

Born in Edmonton, and raised in Westlock, AB, he was the son of Walter and Mabel Hough. Blake served a short time in the RCMP at Williams Lake, BC. He was employed by BC Rail for 31 years and founded Aqua Serve water hauling a few years before retirement from the railroad. He served his loyal customers for 27 yrs. Blake and Elsie enjoyed camping, gardening, traveling, and sharing their faith in God.

Blake is survived by his son Brad Hough, and fiancé Katie Palik, sister Helen Butler, Guelph, ON, a beloved aunt-in-law Sophie Hough of Westlock, AB, and numerous cousins and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held March 21, 2017 at the Salvation Army Church in Quesnel at 2 p.m. A Memorial Service for Blake and Elsie will be held in Westlock, AB, followed by Internment at Pibroch, AB at a later date in 2017.



We would like to take this time to offer our deepest thanks to all members of the hospital staff at G.R. Baker Memorial Hospital who made the last days of Blake Hough so comfortable. Those last days were full of the best possible care. The kindness and compassion of all the staff is something we will never forget.
