It is with sadness we announce the passing of William “Bill” Charles Resch of Keremeos, BC, beloved husband of 70 years to Lillian “Lil”. Bill passed away in his 92nd year at the Penticton Regional Hospital on Friday, July 28, 2017.He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be cherished by his children: Betty (Dave) Campbell, Barb (Bill) Ingram; grandchildren: Stephanie, Leigh, Norm, Michael, Emily; great grandchildren: Dylan, Savannah, Dante, Aisia, Eden, Kade, Neven, Charlie, Evelyn, Kielee, Arlo and Logan as well as by extended family and friends. He was predeceased by five brothers and six sisters.
Bill was a proud member of the Calgary Highlanders serving his country in WWII. While serving in Holland, Bill was wounded in battle leaving him blind and disabled. He especially loved ranching, farming and fishing. One of his many proud achievements included receiving his gold and silver medals from the World Blind Bowls Championships. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Memorial donations in his honour may be made directly to the CNIB.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am in the Chapel of Graham Funeral Home on Saturday, August 19, 2017.
