My hat is off to all of the students, community members, and staff, who on Dec. 10, volunteered their time to put on a wonderfully successful fundraising event.

The Correlieu gym was transformed into a festive area of candle-lit tables, performance areas, chocolate fountains and catered food.

The guests were treated to catered food, great entertainment, and a silent auction.

The fundraising event, with an aim of raising funds for the Seasons House, exceeded everyone’s expectations and was able to support a donation of more than $1,200!

On behalf of the Correlieu Interac club, I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported this community fundraiser.

The Interac club is a self-governing and self-supporting service club of youth between the ages of 14 and 18 whose annual aim it is to sponsor both a local and an international service project.

The Correlieu club is sponsored by the CSS business department with additional

support and guidance provided by the Quesnel Rotary.

This event would not have been possible without the hard work of the many Interac club members Emily Galliazzo, Megan Hanson, Joel Givens, Kim Osep, Sahara Mistry, Megan Parisotto, Erin Thompson, Laura

Boni, Aly Gillin, Stephanie Bazuik, Bron Finkelstein, Jen Meyer, Brian Wattie, Chris Stavast, Cole Blezzard, Ramen Sandu, May-Lee Guann and Anju Jassal; the staff who helped with everything from the tickets to the sound (Bill Vliegenthart and Shaun Smith); the caterers River Rock catering and staff; the volunteer musicians and dancers Correlieu Jazz Band, Gold Pan City Dance, Jake Fowler, Dougal Heinz, and Tim and Jemma Reeves; and the very supportive businesses who donated wonderful items and gift baskets for the silent auction Dr John Havens, Billy Barker Casino, OK Tire, Anita Baziuk, Ron Thompson, the Osip Family, Laura Boni, Barkerville Fudge, Maple Park Barbers, Safeway, Advanced Aesthetics and Skin Spa and all the anonymous donors; and of course all of the community, who came out and supported this worthwhile cause and ultimately made it all possible.

Thank You.
