Editor,

Friday afternoon July 13, my wife and I were on Highway 97 heading south when our vehicle and trailer suddenly started weaving erratically all over the road. I was able to quickly slow down and turn off the highway into the access to 10 Mile Lake Park. It took a few minutes for both my wife’s and my pulse to slow enough to get the image of the line up of trucks and RVs that were coming towards us up the hill out of our heads.

When we got out to examine our vehicle, we discovered that three of the five nuts on the left rear wheel had snapped off and the remaining two nuts were loose. We called BCAA, unhitched the trailer, and my wife stayed with it while I went with the tow truck to Regency Chrysler.

We had called ahead to the service department and they immediately removed the damaged wheel and determined what repairs were necessary. It was already late Friday afternoon and the ordered parts would not be delivered till Monday morning. When I advised the service staff that we were on our way to a family reunion at McLeese Lake and my wife was sitting in our trailer on the side of the road 10 miles north of town, it seemed like all staff in the department got involved to help us.

This is where my wife and I can’t say enough about the actions of all the staff in Regency Chrysler Service department. They were able to get my wife and I and our trailer to the reunion at McLeese Lake Friday evening and then get us back on the road for home on Wednesday.

Thank you, thank you, thank you and a special thank you to Dawny Nagy, service advisor, for keeping us informed on the status and timing of all repairs.

Again, very sincerely, to all the staff of Regency Chrysler service department, Quesnel, B.C. THANK YOU.

David & Elaine Shipclark

Kelowna, B.C.
