Quesnel defenceman James Gemmell and Canada’s Para Hockey Team earned a berth to the gold-medal game with its fourth consecutive shutout of the 2018 Paralympic Winter Games.

They knocked off Korea 7-0 semifinal at the Gangneung Hockey Centre.

Team USA allowed one goal in their para hockey semifinal game against Italy, but outclassed Italy 10-1.

The American victory sets up a rematch of last year’s world championship final, which Team Canada won.

America and Canada handily took care of their opposition in the run to the Paralympic gold-medal game.

Canada outscored its opposition by a 42-0 margin, while the USA tally was 38-1.

These teams were expected to end up playing for the gold going into the Paralympic in South Korea, and without a doubt, they were the class of the field.

Now, the war is on.

The matchup should be a hard-fought, tooth-and-nail thriller from the moment the puck is dropped to the final buzzer.

Go Canada Go!
