Correlieu Secondary School hosted a senior boys basketball tournament on Feb. 2-4.

Six teams attended, with a senior team from Kelly Road Secondary and a grade 10 team from Duchess Park Secondary coming from Prince George; Fort St. James Secondary arriving from the north; Nechako Valley Secondary coming from Vanderhoof; and Lake City Secondary driving up from Williams Lake.

Correlieu’s boys won their first two games in Pool A, against Kelly Road and Fort St. James, qualifying them for the first-place decider on the weekend.

They then faced Duchess Park, the winner of Pool B, but lost out to the Prince George team with a final score of 82-64, despite a hard-fought game.

Third place in the tournament went to Kelly Road and fourth to Nechako Valley; while Fort St. James came fifth and Lake City sixth.
