Two gems are featured in week four, as Bear overcomes a 3-2 deficit to defeat a scrappy BCS side and the Tenders rule in the West Fraser barn as Serenity jumps into the win column with a 1-0 shootout triumph.

Despite, or thanks to, no Zebras gracing Rink 2, Bear outlasted BCS in a back and forth contest with Bear finding the honeypot for a 5-4 victory. Bear actually held a 2-zip lead early thanks to a couple of nifty moves in tight as Brody “Next-door” Neighbour and Justin “Time” Rasmussen both utilized their long reach for singletons to go with their combined trio of apples. Thanks to BCS’ experience in having to overcome early deficits, the initial shortfall was short-lived as Dave “Kim” Carnes continued to display maestro moves as he scored on a quick spinarama which inspired Kevin “Nightrider” Hesslegrave to go on a roof daddy rampage with 3 beauties’ in a row. Not to be outdone was Bears irritating but effective winger, Rob “Sparky” Courturier, who deftly deflected in a pair of goals which set the stage for Cam “Shaft” Graham to waltz down main street as he went post and in for the game winner.

Meanwhile across the parking lot, the Serenity versus Fraser River match-up wasn’t supposed to be a goal tending duel, but the Richard Ward “Off Evil” versus Mike “Port” Moody battle ended up sending the 2 teams to a shoot-out as they both registered regulation time shut-outs. It was Ward “Off Evil” who had the last laugh despite having a sore collar bone, he managed to snuff out all the Fraser River shots as Lee “Nitro” Naeth scored the only shoot-out marker to pace the Builders to their first win of the season.
