The Canadian Ski Council has just launched this year’s SnowPass program for children in Grades 4 and 5.

The national not-for-profit ski and snowboard organization hopes to increase participation in skiing and snowboarding with this program, which is coming into its 20th season this year.

The SnowPass gives children in Grades 4 and 5 the opportunity to ski or snowboard three times at each participating ski hill.

Troll Resort on the Barkerville Highway is on the list of eligible locations, allowing Grades 4-5 students to ski or snowboard without an adult on the SnowPass.

The SnowPass is usable at more than 30 hills all across British Columbia, as well as more than 20 hills in Alberta.

“Not only are skiing and snowboarding great winter sports to participate in together as a family, they also a great way to get some exercise and fresh air during the cold winter months,” the Canadian Ski Council press release states.

If a student registers for the pass in Grade 4, it’s usable for two years; through to the end of the child’s Grade 5 year.

The Snowpass is available online, through www.snowpass.ca.
