Quesnel’s Pee Wee rep hockey team was in Williams Lake last weekend for an icebreaker tournament.

The team of 10- to 12-year-olds played its first tournament of the season against teams from Prince George, Williams Lake and Vanderhoof. Quesnel’s Pee Wee rep team is part of the Cariboo Amateur Hockey Association.

Head coach Dave Carnes said: “It went really well, the kids played pretty hard. They are a fast little group and for not playing together before, they did really well. All three teams in [the Cariboo Amateur Hockey Association] will be very competitive. We lost a couple of games by one or two goals, so all the teams in our division are really close in skill.”
