The Quesnel Motocross Association held the Kawasaki B.C. Championships Cup and the Honda North Finals over a rainy weekend Sept. 23-24.
The mud didn’t deter the riders though, and the competition saw a good turnout of competitors from all classes.
Quesnel riders had solid results in their races, and had excellent placings in the Honda North Finals in particular.
Gavin Fouty came first and Casey Fralick second in the 50cc (age seven to eight) class, and Fouty came first in the 50cc (open) while Fralick placed third in the category.
Quesnel’s Adam Smith came second in the Honda North Finals 85cc (age seven to 11) class, and local rider Caleb McRae won the Junior MX-2 title.
Kassee Morrison placed first in the Ladies class, while Cadence Morrison came third in the New Kid Beginner category.
Kevin Fralick came second in both the Plus 40 and Vet Junior classes for Honda North Finals, and Caleb McRae came first in the schoolboy class.
In the Kawasaki B.C. Championships Cup, notable Quesnel riders included Dayne Cutrell, who came second in Schoolboy and third in Junior MX-2; Cadence Morrison, who placed second in New Kid Beginner; Adam Smith, who came second in 85cc (age seven to 11); Zack Morrison, who placed third in 85cc (age 12-16); and Kevin Fralick, who placed third in Vet Junior.
