Eric Andersen, owner of the Jack O’ Clubs Pub in Wells, dives into Jack O’ Clubs Lake near Wells, B.C. The community held its annual Polar Bear Dip on Jan. 20. Eric says he participates in the dip every year, and the event is growing; in the first year there were just two people, and this year around 30 people dove into the frigid waters. In 2019 he hopes to hold the event as a fundraiser, with corporate pledges for those taking the plunge.
