WATCH: Annual Shift Into Winter campaign reminds drivers to take care this season

North Cariboo Emergency Services event has volunteers speaking to drivers on Highway 97 this morning

Drivers on Highway 97 in Quesnel may experience slow traffic in front of the Quesnel Museum this morning, as North Cariboo Emergency Services’ Shift Into Winter campaign kicks off.

Members of Quesnel RCMP’s traffic unit, as well as Emcon Services, North Cariboo Highway Rescue and local fire departments, have set up their annual road block to check vehicles have their winter tires on, create awareness for winter driving conditions and hand out goodie bags with a pamphlet on winter driving, as well as a few small items.
