The City of Quesnel may just be getting more rain today (Nov. 1), but the white stuff is falling in the city’s surrounding areas.

Coupled with fog, it made for a wintery scene at Pinnacles Provincial Park this afternoon, and many a Halloween pumpkin got a wintery wake up.

Environment Canada is no longer predicting snow for Quesnel this evening, but plenty of rain will fall over the next week, which may mean more snow for higher altitudes. Sunday should see a break in the clouds, with sunshine in the forecast and a high of 8 degrees Celsius.

A chance of flurries is currently in the forecast for Nov. 7, with Environment Canada predicting at 60 per cent chance of flurries or rain showers next Wednesday.
