The North Cariboo Seniors’ Council (NCSC)and the Literacy Quesnel Society (LQS) are thrilled to be this year’s beneficiaries of the City’s surplus of bikes and unclaimed items, which were found around Quesnel and went unclaimed for two years.

Next month’s Amazing Bike Sale will be a major fundraiser for these two organizations.

“The bike sale will not only support the community with inexpensive bikes, but it will also support individuals of all ages to have access to community programs offered by the North Cariboo Seniors’ Council and the Literacy Quesnel Society,” said NCSC president Jon Fine.

The Literacy Quesnel Society is very excited to partner with the North Cariboo Seniors’ Council for this year’s bike sale, according to LQS outreach coordinator Lacey Kvist.

The Amazing Bike Sale, featuring more than 100 used bikes, will take place at Lewis Drive Park on Saturday, August 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Bikes are priced between $25 and $100.

“We are loving the idea of supporting our community with affordable bikes while raising money to support both the North Cariboo Seniors’ Council and the Literacy Quesnel Society in delivering much-needed community programs,” Kvist said.
