The entire community was invited to share breakfast with Santa in the Salvation Army’s fourth annual event. This year they served approximately 130 people and Santa delivered gifts to approximately 75 children in the Legion Hall. “Seeing the children opening their gifts were the most special moments for me,” Salvation Army Lieutenant Laura Van Schaick said. “Each child’s gift was specifically chosen and addressed to them based on their very own Christmas wish list. The children were so excited.” Just a reminder the Salvation Army kettle campaign is in full swing with kettles located at Safeway, Save-On Foods, Canadian Tire, Extra Fodds and Good 4 You and Planet 2.
