A Kersley woman has received national recognition for her volunteer work with the local 4-H club.
4-H Canada announced its 2023 National Award Recipients on Feb. 5, with Erin Rossmann being awarded the National Volunteer Leader of the Year, which recognizes volunteers for their leadership and impact on 4-H youth. Volunteer Leader of the Year awards are given to individuals within each province, with one volunteer receiving the national award.
Rossmann leads the Kersley 4-H Club and has been involved in Quesnel’s 4-H club for over 10 years, according to 4-H Canada’s website. She’s known for her calm presence and commitment to a safe and welcoming environment in the club, especially for neurotypical youth.
“Erin is an inspiration to the youth members, leaders, and parents in her community. She embodies the core values of 4-H through her compassionate approach to helping youth in her club become caring and contributing leaders who effect positive change in the world around them.”
