Quesnel and District Chamber of Commerce presents the first in its 2011/12 lecture series and dinner Oct. 13, 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. in the Billy Barker Hotel showroom, with guest speaker Michael R. Sonnenreich of Washington, D.C.

Sonnenreich is chairman and CEO of Kikaku America International and Williams Creek Gold Ltd., a company now active in the Quesnel/Barkerville area.

With an impressive list of credentials and appointments, this Harvard graduate lawyer is also active in the arts and science communities.

He currently chairs the internationally renown Washington Jazz Festival as well as sitting as director, commissioner and board member of several prestigious nonprofit arts and science organizations including the Smithsonian Institution.

The subject of this first QDCC lecture series and dinner is The Changing Dynamics of Business in Uncertain Times and Sonnenreich with give a brief commentary on his experience and will address his views on corporate responsibility and the importance of community engagement.
