The COVID-19 pandemic may have changed the way in which it was served, but many Quesnel residents still received free Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve.

Volunteers handed out bagged Christmas lunches and hot chocolate outside the Quesnel and District Seniors’ Centre Dec. 24, and those who showed up could take away warm blankets, scarves and gloves if needed. Santa even made an appearance at the socially-distant outdoor event.
