Within 10 minutes of opening the doors at 1 p.m. on Christmas Eve, the St John the Divine Hall was full of hungry Christmas Eve diners, and there was a line up waiting for tables by 1:20 p.m.
Volunteers had decorated 12 festive tables, and prepared a traditional Christmas Feast of turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes and vegetables, with black forest cake and buttertarts for dessert.
