Around 12:30 p.m., May 27, a southbound semi-tractor trailer and a northbound Mustang collided after one of the vehicles cross the centre line. Both vehicles were tossed into opposing ditches and both vehicles were engulfed in flames. The driver of the truck was treated and released from G.R. Baker Memorial Hospital and the Mustang driver was air-lifted to Vancouver. Although the Mustang driver’s injuries were serious, RCMP believe they were not live-threatening. The investigation continues.
