Huge attendance at Quesnel’s tour of lights

Hundreds of cars packed into West Fraser Timber Park this past weekend

Hundreds of cars made the trek to the West Fraser Timber Park on Dec. 11, for the Quesnel Chamber of Commerce’s tour of lights.

Trucks, trailers, and snowmobiles were decorated with Christmas lights. Even ambulances, fire trucks and police cars got into the fun.

Cars were backed up over the Johnston Bridge for a mile, and back into the Johnston subdivision too, as families waited patiently for a chance to see the displays.

Organizers were able to tolerate the temperatures, which turned out fairly mild during the event. A few displays even brought the supplies to have campfires to keep warm during the night.

The Quesnel and District Rotary Club was on hand collecting donations from the cars that entered the park.
