PHOTOS: Kersley Christmas play features Canadian Rangers, singing elves and sleeping Santa

The Kersley Players’ Christmas play was part of the community’s annual Christmas Party held on Dec. 21

This year’s Kersley Players Christmas play did not feature a diabolical plan to ruin Christmas, but instead featured the Canadian Rangers from the new 4th Canadian Rangers Patrol Group B.C. Company Quesnel Patrol being inspected by their honorary colonel-in-chief, Mrs. C — with musical accompaniment, no less.

Singing elves, a sleeping Santa, a mechanical man who doesn’t get to be part of anything, and a Ranger with one boot were just some of the colourful characters in this year’s play, “Hark! The Herald Rangers Sing!,” which was presented Dec. 21 during the Kersley Community Annual Christmas Party at the Kersley Community Hall.

The play featured Stuart Graham as Santa; Sue Matheson as Mrs. C; Paul Nichols, a real Sergeant; Tyler Rosewood as Ajax the Mechanical Man; Canadian Rangers from the Quesnel Patrol; and Jennie Goodenough, Kristina Kennedy, Lana Johnson, Bert Koning, Grace Syvertsen and Penny Hendricks as elves.

The Christmas Party also featured a potluck dinner, Christmas carols and a visit from Santa.
