Mayor Bob Simpson staffed a Salvation Army kettle before Christmas along with Salvation Army Lieutenant Stefan Von Schaick. This year the Christmas Campaign surpassed the goal of the Kettle drive of $35,500 by raising $37,071.70 and an overall total of $92,240.46. The Salvation Army would like to thank the people of Quesnel for their generous support during the Christmas season and throughout the year, helping the organization keep the doors of the Warrior’s Song Cafe open and providing food for the less fortunate in the city.
