Masked and safely, the GR Baker Hospital Auxilery received its annual donation from the BCHydro Power Pioneers.
The cheque was presented at the Quesnel Seniors’ Centre on Friday, March 19.
“We do this every year as the money stays in Quesnel and the Auxiliary raises funds to purchase much needed equipment for the hospital,” Power Pineers director Rae Daggitt said in an email. “The Power Pioneers motto is ‘Continuing A Lifetime of Service.’ So we try to support our community by volunteering where ever we may be needed.”
The GR Baker Hospital emergency room is under construction, with a complete renovation of the emergency room. The project is scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2022.
