Photos: Dancers perform at milestone powwow in Quesnel

The milestone powwow is the first hosted by Lhtako Dene Nation and 50th hosted by the Quesnel Tillicum Society

Lhtako Dene Nation hosted its first powwow at their newly built arbour. The powwow was co-hosted by the Quesnel Tillicum Society, which has been hosting the event for 50 years.

People came from across Canada and the United States wearing traditional regalia and performing dances in the packed wooden arbour. Several drum groups performed at the powwow.
