The City of Quesnel got started preparing an area near Baker Creek for the skatepark extension over the weekend.
Some trees have been removed to make way for the new skatepark design. Others will be planted in the green spaces once the park is built.
Construction on the skatepark will begin this summer, with a deadline of October 2018.
