Public invited to help the Witzke family

Northstar and Maple Park Alliance are hosting a Spaghetti Dinner/Silent Auction to raise money for Jacob Witzke and his family, June 11, 6 p.m. at Maple Park Alliance Church.

Nine-year-old Jacob Witzke from Lakeview School in Quesnel, is currently in Sunny Hill Rehabilitation Hospital in Vancouver after his stay at Childrens Hospital.

He has had five heart surgeries and suffered two strokes, the last resulting in brain surgery.

Jacob has a long road of recovery ahead of him.  He is expected to be at Sunny Hill for about eight months.

The spaghetti dinner is a community event. All proceeds go to the Witzke family.

There are many businesses donating fantastic items to be auctioned.  Just to name a few,  Finning in Prince George donated two tickets to see Keith Urban in Vancouver, dinner and drinks included;  Bo Peep Boutique, Polaris, Outback, Outlaw, Canadian Tire, Marks Work Wearhouse, Richbar Nursery, Sears, Walmart, Source, City Furniture and so many more have also donated items.

Also, live entertainment from local talent will perform. Tickets are on sale at Bo Peep Boutique and Big Country Printers until June 5.

There are a limited number of tickets to be sold, so get yours soon!

Tickets are $25 per family (up to six people) extra children $3 each, couples $12, individual tickets $8 each.
