Candidates are once again being sought in the Quesnel Ambassador Leadership Program (QALP).
Rose Scott, the program’s co-ordinator said that recruitment has been challenging after two years dealing with COVID-19
“What I’m feeling now is that we’ve had two years that the ambassadors that we do have, have had such limited activity, when they try to promote the program, there’s not a lot to promote,” Scott said, noting a lack of out-of-town and fundraising events.

Scott said she hopes ambassador candidates will get a better variety of in-person events in 2022.
”The QALP is designed to help give young people in our community the skills and confidence to achieve their goals while representing Quesnel,” a news release from Scott reads.
The Ambassador program is open to all youth from 15-17. Candidates will spend five months learning about themselves and the city of Quesnel, beginning in February.
