Hosting a car show was a lifelong dream for Jordyn Brazeau and his brother Kyler.

Their dreams came true on Aug. 15, as nearly 100 cars drove into LeBourdais Park on Sunday, Aug. 15 for Thoughtless Ambitions Auto Expo.

“Our life goal is done, we’ve put on our very own car show,” Jordyn said. “We dreamed of this since we were kids. It was pretty special to have that first one.”

Classic cars, trucks, imports and even motorcycles were on display at the show, judged by Thoughtless Ambitions members. Prospector’s Classic Car Club members also showed up.

Ken Beck’s 1968 Chevy C10 took home the best in show award.

“It was pretty friggin’ good,” Brazeau said. “We’re pretty thrilled. It was a little smaller than we expected because the weather was not in our favour. It held out inside Quesnel but all the guys from out of town said it was raining in Prince George until noon.”

Thoughtless Ambitions is a group Brazeau started last year, and have been running events twice a month in and around Quesnel.

Brazeau said planning the event came naturally.

“The only hurdle was my car,” he joked. “We blew the motor a month-and-a-half ago… We got it finished at 11:30 the night before the show.”

Brazeau wanted to thank the sponsors, and noted the group hopes to hold the event annually the third weekend of every August.
