Quesnel Cariboo Observer photographer nominated for provincial award

A photo published in the Quesnel Cariboo Observer has been nominated for a British Columbia and Yukon journalism award.

Former editor Lindsay Chung’s photo from the 2020 Gold Rush Sled Dog Mail Run, titled the musher and the mail was selected as a finalist for the Ma Murray sports photo award.

The photo was featured on the front page of the Wednesday, Jan. 29 edition of the Quesnel Cariboo Observer.

The Ma Murray Awards celebrate the work of the 93 outlets making up the Community NewsMedia Association in B.C. and the Yukon.

The award winners will be announced at a virtual ceremony on Thursday, April 29.
