Why, you wonder, would I commit to training over 2,000 kilometres on a road bike and fundraising over $6,000 in a six-month period?
Simply put, I understand I can help kids with cancer by dedicating my personal time as a member of the Tour de North 2019 team.
I will have an impact on childhood cancer treatments and put smiles on the faces of families that desperately need the kind of camaraderie and support that they get at Camp Goodtimes. Count me in!
So far, I have had so much support from my family, friends and co-workers at Integris Credit Union — fundraising is going great!
Integris is hosting a 50/50 draw, ongoing until Sept. 13, where you could have a chance to win $5,000!
I have an active family, and my kids are involved in softball, hiking, and jogging. I can’t imagine what parents go through when their child is diagnosed with cancer.

The Cops for Cancer Tour de North takes place from Sept. 17 to 23, as the team cycles 850 kilometres from Dawson Creek to Williams Lake.
The Cops for Cancer Tour de North team will be arriving in Quesnel on the eve of Sunday, Sept. 22 and departing for Williams Lake on Monday, Sept. 23 for the last leg of the tour!
