Quesnel dance instructor honoured before start of gala

Sandy Herman got the Legacy of Pat Cummings award before the start of the Gold Pan City Dance Gala

Friends, family and dance fans packed into the Chuck Mobley Theatre at Correlieu Secondary School to finally watch some of Quesnel’s youngsters perform.

Before the festivities at the Gold Pan City Dance Gala could begin on Friday, March 18, one of the school’s instructors was honoured.

Sandy Herman was presented with the Legacy of Pat Cummings award, given out by the Canadian Dance Teachers’ Association (CDTA) to instructors.

A letter from the association was read by Jessie Herman before presenting the award alongside dancers.
