A Quesnel family is recovering after a fire on April 15 left them without a home.

Rachael Bradley is organizing a GoFundMe for Shayla Bear and her three children, who were living in a South Quesnel mobile home until the fire. Bradley is also arranging donations of clothes, toys and furniture. She said they have a ton of donations, but is still working to find a proper place for the family to live within a budget.

“I have all I can store at this point,” Bradley said of the non-monetary donations.

Bradley has set a goal of $10,000 on GoFundMe.

“In these troubled times of 2021 lifting each other up is the strongest way for our community to stay strong and support one another,” Bradley said in the GoFundMe. “Every dollar counts to getting this family back on their feet and keeps us #Quesnelstrong.”
